2019 2nd Quarter Results, 3rd Quarter Goals

Overall, I did really well on my goals for the second quarter.  So well, in fact, I only fully failed part of goal 1: while I read WAY more than 50 books, I did not manage to read 5 non-manga titles (just 3 with 1 in progress).  The sleep restriction greatly reduced my iPad Kindle reading, which is where a lot of new my fiction non-manga books are.  *doh*

I also “failed” to release Broken Wing, because I consciously made the release date in July.  So I’m not really counting that as a fail, more of a deliberately delayed one.  Likewise, I didn’t get photos taken for my new author photo, not the professional looking ones I wanted to do, but I did take some nicer looking selfies and made those my author image for now, so that was part of the goal done. 🙂

Setting up my goals for the third quarter was trickier.  Other than releasing Broken Wing and working on more writing, I really don’t have much to do.  I already have arcs going for Broken Wing and the release stuff is done other than finalizing the print formats. My budget won’t support doing any real promo for Broken Wing right now, though I do want to try to do at least one AMS ad for it while it’s still in its 30-day new release period.

How Did I Do on the Second Quarter Goals?

  4. Release Broken Wing
  5. Get photos taken and new author image posted
  6. Reread Maid Maleen
  7. Split Aisuru, Deviations, and At Week Ends up – i.e. kill off “Hakodate Hearts” as a series
